Verona Pharma has collaborative arrangements with various well-established academic and scientific organisations. These arrangements allow the Company to draw on the resources and facilities available at these organisations to accelerate its development programmes whilst economising on the need for a large specialized workforce and investment in physical infrastructure.

Verona Pharma has established research and development collaborations with King's College London and the University of British Columbia. The Company also intends to outsource its preclinical and clinical development programmes and has established relationships with contract research organsations for this purpose.

For its lead compound, RPL554, Verona Pharma has contracted the Centre for Human Drug Research in Leiden, The Netherlands to conduct its Phase I/IIa clinical trial. For its NAIPs program, the Company has formed collaborations with Glycomar Limited and Glycores 2000 S.r.l. to source novel glycosylated aminoglycan compounds. Glycomar also assists the Company in the screening and evaluation of compounds.
